Vintage 30's Ephemera Color illustrations, 16pp, 15 x 10 1/2 inches, color pictorial paper wrappers (softbound). 1935 scarce publication featuring 15 richly colored portraits by Ben Ely of famous Native American Indian Chiefs: Crazy Horse, Gall, Rain-in-the-Face, Crow Big-Foot, Tecumseh, King Philip (Pometacom), Black Hawk, Plenty Coups, Pontiac, Wolf Robe, Osceola, Red Cloud, Geronimo, Joseph, Petalesharo, each with a brief biography in the lower margin; plus a portrait of Sitting Bull on the front cover and Chief American Horse on the back cover. Bright Bold Colorful still stunning artwork but In used 'as is' pre-owned* condition complete but with multiple flaws to inner pages & outer cover to include: Heavy wear, heavy damage, multiple pages tear, stains, water damage marks, loose pages, rolled corners, split binding, creasing, signed on back front cover as remembrance gift from Manhattan Beach vacation in 1936 - see pics for detailed condition issues.
