Hoya 'Bright One' is a pubicalyx cultivar hybridized by Genieve McDonald of what is now Koko Ranch Hoyas. The dark green leaves are flecked with silver and shorter and wider than species pubicalyx. Bright One is a prolific bloomer, producing bright burgundy-pink blooms.
Pubicalyx 'Bright One' is easy to grow, preferring filtered sunlight and light watering - moist, never soaking wet (think rain forest habitat). It is happy spending time outside in a shady spot where temperatures don't get much below 60 degrees. Hoya plants are not frost tolerant.
The plant for sale is a well-rooted starter plant. Photos are of the plant in a 4" pot. Bloom photo for reference only. Plants for sale are grown in a home environment using commercially available potting media with organic fertilizer and pest control.
