Rare vintage City of Los Angeles presentation plaque, dated February 10, 1985, commemorating the Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers 20th Anniversary.
• Features the official City of Los Angeles seal on an engraved metal plate mounted to wood
• Engraving error: reads “Albert McNeil Jubille Singers” instead of Jubilee
• Inscription: Congratulations and Best Wishes on Your 20th Anniversary
• Size: approx. 10” W x 14” H
• Back: dual keyhole slots for wall hanging
• Condition: vintage wear. The engraved plate has a tiny dent, scratches, and surface scuffs. Wood shows light marks consistent with age. Please see photos for details. Sold as is.
This plaque is a unique piece of Los Angeles and African American music history, especially notable for its rare engraving error.
