This is a silverplated, hinged oval jewelry box/trinket box with a red interior liner. The box is designed to look like a wrapped present. Hinge and interior is in excellent condition. The exterior has patina appropriate to its age and may show some scratches or other marks. No maker mark. Approximately 4 inches long by 3 1/2 inches across and 2 inches high.
I do not clean patina off of vintage items but I know that this little box would be spectacular if it was cleaned up on the outside. Such a great keepsake box and perfect for a young woman, sweet 16 or engagement gift for the vintage lover.
